Dresses, dresses, and more dresses…
Maybe it’s because I’m preggo (in case you missed that- I’m a surrogate for my sis and her hubby until May 3), but I think it’s more because most midi/maxi dresses just speak my love language. A dress that can be dressed up or down and often worn across many seasons is worth the moola in my opinion. When I look in my closet, the dress section is “go-to” section to grab-and-go, and therefore, where I go most. Here is a collection of some fab midi/maxi dresses I either have or have my eye on!
Some of my favorite maxi dresses the past few years are still crowd favs each and every time I wear them. Now, I’m not going to lie… I don’t always find things that fit my style and budget at Free People, but I fell in love with this dress a while ago at Evereve and didn’t snatch it up. I haven’t stopped thinking about it, so this time I immediately clicked “add to cart” when it popped back in stock. This does run big, so I suggest sizing down.

A full maxi isn’t for everyone, I get that, and honestly, I love a midi just as much as a maxi. These 2 Good Hart midis have been a crowd favorite and is thankfully still available in XS-XXL (+ they are both under $100). The coral rust color is great year round and y’all, it has pockets! If you aren’t so much a drawstring girl, just tuck them away under a fab belt. The white dress, well, it, my friends is perfection and will take you all the way through summer into fall with a jean jacket.
I can’t talk about midi/maxi dresses without mentioning these 2 “built in bra” options. Yes, comfort to the max (no pun intended) & perfect for everyday wear or even for travel!
I think no matter your height, you can pull off a maxi, just know how to style it and make sure you get your right fit. If you are a bit shorter, you will want a midi/maxi that doesn’t overwhelm you. When in doubt, throw on a denim jacket to narrow in the top or even tie the bottom into a knot on the side or in the middle.
One of the things I love about most maxis, as I mentioned, is the ability to dress them up and down and wear them across multiple seasons. Shoes can make all the difference- here are some of my favorite transitional shoes, and YES, friends, you can indeed wear sneakers with dresses in 2022!
