Accessory Scout
How and why did you get your business started?
A couple years ago, I started noticing that a lot of costume jewelry sold in boutiques was exactly the same as things sold in bulk. I’ve shared these deals with my friends and family for years, but saw an opportunity to share it with more people.
How do you define your style?
I like all things comfortable and feminine, and classic pieces with a tiny twist. Lauren is a little bit cooler and can pull off edgier stuff than I can. I’m more grandma.
Do you accessorize every day?
Nope.
What is your favorite accessory?
I love jewelry with a story. I asked my mom for a Roberto Coin diamond cross necklace for Christmas about ten years ago. When she saw it, she went to her jewelry box (that I’ve looked through thousands of times) and pulled out a tiny diamond cross I’d never seen. It looked just like the Roberto Coin. It was the first piece of jewelry my dad had ever given her (30ish years before) and she’d forgotten about it. I’m sure it wasn’t fancy or expensive or name brand, but the story behind it makes it special!
Where do you draw inspiration from?
I love interior design and fabrics.
Do you have a fun fact you’d like to share?
Lauren’s dog, Margaux, broke about 30% of our inventory when we first started. And, my dog, Mamba loves stealing the little organza pouches we pack earrings in.
Anything else in particular you’d like to share?
Lots of Instagram & Etsy retailers play fast and loose with the terms “handmade” and “handbeaded.” If you’re being charged a premium for that reason, ask if they personally made or beaded or designed the pieces.

How and why did you get your business started?
I inherited my mom’s love for fashion. We designed our first necklace when I wanted the perfect statement accessory for a sorority function. My friends and other girls in my dorm loved the necklace and started placing orders. The rest is history!
How do you define your style?
Classic-edgy. My style is really all over the place!
Do you accessorize every day?
I do not accessorize every day. I love dressing down just as much as I love dressing up!
What is your favorite accessory?
Earrings are definitely my favorite accessory! I wear a lot of solid colors so I love to add a statement pop with earrings.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
We stay on top of trends and draw inspiration from a variety of outlets, including Instagram, Pinterest, magazines, etc.
Do you have a fun fact you’d like to share?
Interior design is another passion of mine and I love animals.

Kristin Fast Limited
How and why did you get your business started?
I started making jewelry right after my husband and I were married in 2007. I built a business based on boutiques and had 11 boutiques in the Carolinas carrying my line.
How do you define your style?
My style is a little bit casual and a little bit fancy; a little bit neutral, and a little bit colorful! I have a hard time committing to just one style and love to mix it up depending on the day!
Do you accessorize every day?
Yessssss! I accessorize every day…is there any other way to live?
What is your favorite accessory?
Hard to choose my favorite accessory! I love wearing any of the
strap necklaces from my shop, and lately I’ve been living in bracelet stacks more than ever before!
Where do you draw inspiration from?
I love looking at interior design accounts for color inspiration.
Do you have a fun fact you’d like to share?
My 13-year-old dog Buck is our absolute bestie. Actually “Buck” was the first word both of my boys said as babies️. He’s the cutest German Shepherd/Husky mix rescue and we LOVE that dog! Right now I’m crushing on Dream Home Makeover with Studio McGee on Netflix. Shea, if you’re reading this, my door is always open for you and any renovating you’d like to do.

Laura Cox Collection
How and why did you get your business started?
In 2015, necklaces with tassels on them started to get really popular. I had dabbled in jewelry making a bit in high school, and thought, “Hey, I can do that!” So I headed to our nearest craft store for some beads, looked up a YouTube video on how to make a tassel out of string, and got to making necklaces for myself. The next week I opened an Etsy shop, and things just kind of took off. I think I was in the right place at the right time.
How do you define your style?
My personal style is understated and classic. Owning an accessories business has definitely forced me to venture into brighter bolder styles, but I’m usually first drawn to neutrals and more classic pieces.
Do you accessorize every day?
Yes! It can be hard to find motivation sometimes working from home, but each day I make myself get up, shower, and get fully dressed and ready for the day.
What is your favorite accessory?
Earrings for sure. Most days I only wear my wedding band and earrings. It’s amazing how a little sparkle in your ear can frame your face and tie an outfit together perfectly.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
I wish I had a prettier answer for this question, but I feel like I always just operate on my gut feeling.
Do you have a fun fact you’d like to share?
I LOVE good food. I actually went into college wanting to be a chef/restaurant owner. At the end of the day, pizza is my favorite food. And not just pizza, but pepperoni pizza drizzled with hot honey. Try it, it will change your life.

Monday Morning Press
How and why did you get your business started?
I started Monday Morning Press in 2017 after my second daughter was born. I left my job in Architecture in 2014 to be a stay at home mom and missed that creative outlet so I started a custom letterpress boutique out of my home! I now have 3 daughters and while they drive me bonkers at times, I feel so blessed to be at home with them while also being a boss mom!
How do you define your style?
Casual and comfortable. I love mixing patterns but also love a simple black top with a statement earring.
Do you accessorize every day?
No way. I rock the mom bun and leggings most days of the week but I really do love getting dressed up for a date night or girls night out!
What is your favorite accessory?
Earrings!
Where do you draw inspiration from?
I’m obsessed with surface patterns and pretty papers, my children’s scribbles, and abstract paintings.
Do you have a fun fact you’d like to share?
Nachos are my love language. I could eat them every day. In college (Virginia Tech- go Hokies!) I came in second place in a wing eating competition… 32 wings! So, basically, I love junk food and can eat a lot of it.

Style for the South
How and why did you get your business started?
During COVID, I just found myself with a lot of extra time. I had sort of toyed with the idea of making jewelry for awhile but never actually did anything about it. I finally just started one day and it became such a creative outlet that I couldn’t stop.
How do you define your style?
I would say my style is modern eclectic.
Do you accessorize every day?
I really do. I think it’s so easy to throw on a stack of bracelets and go.
What is your favorite accessory?
Favorite accessory has to be my wedding ring. You can never have enough diamonds…right?
Where do you draw inspiration from?
I draw inspiration from clothing, artwork and even just people watching. I love to see how people are dressed and I will think to myself…”What can I design that she would want to wear daily?” My goal is to create something my customer will want to wear everyday and not get sick of.
Do you have a fun fact you’d like to share?
Fun fact is that I am 100% obsessed with yoga.
